The French state-owned energy company EDF has announced the integration of its internationally operating subsidiaries under a new entity EDF power solutions.

This transformation is part of a global transformation process that aims to unify the activities and expertise of the EDF Group's International Division with those of EDF Renewables in the 25 countries where it operates. The goal is to leverage synergies and strengthen the EDF Group's capacity to contribute to the energy transition and offer its customers integrated energy solutions—ranging from energy supply to the provision of various energy services—through a diversified portfolio.

Present in Chile for more than ten years, this integration allows the EDF Group to consolidate a portfolio, developed with its partners, of more than 1.4 GW of installed capacity. EDF Power Solutions Chile has a multidisciplinary team with experience in project development, construction, and operation, focused on implementing the EDF Group's growth strategy in the country.

“It is an honor to assume the leadership of EDF in Chile at such a challenging time, but at the same time so full of opportunities for the energy sector. The creation of EDF Power Solutions represents a strategic decision that will allow us to continue growing in the country through an integrated portfolio and a more robust strategy,” said Joan Leal, the designated CEO of EDF power solutions in Chile.
