On January 23 and 24, a delegation from the European Union in Chile visited Punta Arenas, Magallanes Region. During the visit, in addition to meeting with various local authorities, the delegation metwith the H2V Magallanes Trade Association, during which they reviewed the status of projects under development by the various member companies and addressed the main challenges facing the industry.
The delegation was led by the EU Ambassador to Chile, Claudia Gintersdorfer, and included the ambassadors of Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Denmark, Spain, Finland, France, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal, and Romania, as well as the Chargé d'affaires of the Polish Embassy.
As part of the visit, the delegation traveled to Estancia Pecket, owned by the Marín family, where EDF is developing the Energía Verde Austral (EVA) green hydrogen Project. . There, José Montero and Francisco Peralta presented the details of the project, highlighting the importance of Chile, and Magallanes in particular, within the EDF Group's green hydrogen strategy.
