A new phase for the EDF Group in the country began with the integration of its two subsidiaries, EDF International Division and EDF Renewables, under a single new entity: EDF power solutions Chile. This entity was officially launched at an event attended by authorities, customers, partners, employees, and leaders from the energy sector.

Among those in attendance were the French Ambassador to Chile, Cyrille Rogeau; the Superintendent of Electricity and Fuel, Marta Cabezas; the Chairman of the Board of the National Electricity Coordinator, Juan Carlos Olmedo; the President of the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Chile, Paul Miquel; and the leaders of the Generadoras de Chile and H2 Chile associations, Camilo Charme and Marcos Kulka, among others.

The CEO of EDF power solutions Chile, Joan Leal, reviewed the ten-year history of the EDF Group in Chile and highlighted the growth strategy for the coming years. "With the launch of EDF Power Solutions in Chile, today we celebrate the beginning of a new era for EDF in the country. The integration of our two subsidiaries, EDF International Division and EDF Renewables, under a single brand will not only give us a clearer identity but, more importantly, enable us to offer integrated solutions to better meet our customers' needs and continue to contribute to the country's energy transition," he said.

During the event, former Minister of Science, Technology, Knowledge, and Innovation Andrés Couve gave a presentation entitled “The power of science and innovation for a resilient economy in times of crisis”, in which he discussedthe role of science and innovation in addressing current environmental and economic challenges.
